World Day for Cultural Diversity and for Dialogue and Development - May 21

Today is the World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

In a world consisting of 7 continents, 193 countries (according to the UN) and about 7.113 billion people, we are all different and unique. The world is diversity and it is this diversity that enriches us. Don't you agree?

Did you know that students of 43 different nationalities study at the Polytechnic of Tomar? We are very rich, aren't we? We recognise the importance of promoting a culture of inclusion, of respect and understanding of the many differences.

All together we can build a better world. It is through intercultural dialogue that we can achieve peace and sustainable development.
