On 4 April, in the Library Room of the Polytechnic University of Tomar (IPT), the 1st Conference on Invisible Disability - Invisible Talks was held, promoted by CIM Médio Tejo in partnership with the Polytechnic of Tomar, through the diversity and inclusion group.
The conference was born out of the project ‘Communicating Invisible Disability’, started in 2020 by Catarina Gestosa da Silva, graphic designer, teacher and master's student in Editorial Design at IPT.
The central aim of the conference was to raise awareness of the existence of different types of disabilities - visual, motor, hearing, mental, physical or multiple - that are not visible at first glance but have a profound impact on the lives of those who suffer from them.
The event brought together around a hundred participants.
