Invisible Talks

The Diversity and Inclusion Group at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, represented by Professor Ana Cristina Nata, attended the awareness-raising and training event ‘A1 | Promoting the Rights of People with Disabilities’ on 20 March. The event took place at the Gustavo Pinto Lopes Municipal Library in Torres Novas, where the work being carried out by the IPT was presented, as part of its 1st and 2nd Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plans, aimed at promoting the rights of people with disabilities.
This initiative forms part of the “Invisible Talks” | “Empowering for Inclusion” project (Operation Code PESSOAS-FSE+-03403700), run by the Médio Tejo Intermunicipal Community (CIM), which aims to raise awareness and empower people with disabilities and/or impairments, their families, as well as professionals and stakeholders from various sectors, thereby contributing to the promotion of their rights and a more inclusive society.

Until 3 July, activities will be organised in each municipality of the Médio Tejo region.
